Many thanks to all those who braved the snow to attend our Annual Quiz/Fish and Chip supper.  Over 100 people attended and we made a profit of over £450.

Many thanks to our Quiz master Charlotte and to Nick for running the raffle as well as Martin &  Karen for organising the event.

Hopefully everyone got home safely!

Following the Thames Valley League AGM on Wednesday 23rd November 2011 the Thames Valley League Fixtures for the 2012 season have been confirmed. The Saturday 1st XI will be in Division 3a following last seasons promotion and the 2nd XI will be in Division 5a trying to replicate last seasons excellent performance in finishing in 4th place. Another piece of good news that came from the TVL AGM was to hear that Purley on Thames CC was 1 of only 5 clubs in the entire league not to incur any fines for poor discipline or late return of results. Great effort by the captains of both teams, lets hope for similar feedback next season!!!

Adult indoor nets will be held at Bradfield College on Monday evenings 8:30pm to 10:30pm starting on the 27th February for 6 weeks. More details to follow in the new year.

WE HAVE RECEIVED OUR FUNDING - many thanks to those who made donations, and to Karen & Martin Bishop who made 2 grant applications.

As you are probably aware one of our projects is to refurbish and improve the existing net area.  We are going to increase the height of the nets, improve the safety and effectiveness of the netting and provide much improved surrounds to the net area.

The proposed total cost of the works is circa £7300 – and we have received 2 grants from West Berks Council and the Greenham Common Trust totalling £5303
