Match report wargrave was the venue for this weeks TVL encounter. The track looked good so it was an important toss to win.
The Potters skipper called correctly and had no hesitation in batting first.
Wargraves opening bowlers started well with 0 runs off the bat in the first 5 overs. The skipper and Neville clarked settled in and were building a solid opening partnership until the skipper skied a pull shot with the score on 40. wargrave introduced their spinners and got some assistance from the dry track. Good contributions were made by Neville and Dan before Reebs and Sam Rees came together. They attacked well and put on a century stand. In the end the Potters finished on 241 for 6 from their 52 overs, Reebs made 61 and Sam 69.
After an excellent tea Wargrave began their chase. The Potters took the old ball and made 3 quick in roads with the in form Reber taking all 3. Wargraves skipper and they young Woods then batted excellently to build the innings back together. Woods fell for 71 and then Robbie took an outstanding diving 1 handed catch to remove the skipper. Reebs and Caleb bowled with great control and finished off the Wargrave lower order in the 45th over. Wargrave were all out for 160, Reebs taking 5 for 52 and Caleb 5 for 30.
An excellent 25 points which closes the gap at the bottom end of the table. Same again next week!!!
