Match report The Potters game of the TVL season saw us host Falkland 2's. It was a massive game as we knew a good result was needed for us to avoid relegation. Falkland won the toss and elected to bat first.
The potters started well with Caleb picking up a wicket with 2nd ball of the game. Rahu and Caleb combined effectively, runs we're hard to come by and Falkland were picking up just a few quick singles. Reebs again picked up wickets and Cyril also bowled well in the middle overs. Some late hitting towards the end of the Falkland innings saw them reach 161 for 8 from 52 overs. Reebs picked up another 5 wickets to continue his sparkling form.
In reply the Potters could not of started worse as they found themselves 5 for 4 in 10 overs. Reebs and Rahu combined to put on 60 for the 5th wicket. We always were behind the game down the poor start but 61 from Reebs always kept us in the game. Once Reebs was out the rest fell and we fell 35 short.
6 points. A nervous wait was had before the other results were in and with there being 3 relegated from our division it was very unlikely we would survive. Somehow we did survive by just 1 point. A great night was had at the shrub with the relief of survival! 7th place, not that bad with all the problems we've had this year.
