Match report On a very nice sunny day (and 11.30am start) the skipper won the toss and chose to field as the pitch looked like it would be very unpredictable, and so it proved, although they took more advantage of it than us! They racked up 248-8 from 40 overs before declaring. Nufail bowled well for his 2-36 off 8 overs, but the pick again was 13 year old Sam Jugg with his 3-38 off 6 overs. After a nice "lunch" the skipper and Nufail took to the crease. Nufail set about their attack immediately and was striking the ball superbly well. He had 35 from 20 balls and we were 49-0 from the first 7 overs, before he was harshly dismissed to a catch behind that he was "nowhere near" touching. We then lost 3 quick wickets. James Mugford (10) and Pahi showed some resistance, but we lost wickets very quickly after that. Pahi was continuing his fine form but ran out of partners and he was last one out for 34. We were bowled out for 107. It was very disappointing, as one decision turned the game completely. We have now played all the teams once and are currently in 5th place having won 5 and lost 3 and 1 abandoned. Not a bad first half of the season, especially as we have had a different 11 players every week, and bloodied a few youngsters.
