Match report Purley started the pre-season with a good 37 run victory over Theale & Tilehurst at Theale. Andrew Clarke top scored with 62 as he and Chris Priestley put on 92 for the second wicket before Chris was out for 47. Drew Jackson made his Purley debut and looked good as he struck a four through the covers but he was out soon afterwards for 8. Arshad Mohammed hit a brisk 26 and was supported by George Clarke as Purley reached 175 for 6 off 40 overs. In reply T & T were always behind on the run rate, Adam Khan was the pick of the Purley bowlers with 2/30 off 9, whilst skipper Pat Allen and George Clarke also chipped in with two each. The other wickets fell to Tejpal Singh and Drew Jackson with one each as T&T finished on 138 for 8 off 40 overs.
