Match report A rather frustrating winning draw for the 3rds. In his second game as skipper Kieran won the toss and chose to bat. A superb maiden Purley century from Nufail (113), plus useful knocks from Pahi (36) and Adam Mugford (29) meant a score of 262-8 was posted off 45 overs. This was clearly far too many for Welford Park to chase, as they looked for a draw from the first ball! Nufail added to his superb day by taking 4-17 off 10 overs. Paturi frustrated the 3rds with an unbeaten 110, and we could only take 7 wickets off 45 overs. A disappointment but maybe a lesson to learn for the future, as in hindsight a declaration at 40 overs may have helped us to a win.
