Match report Sadly, we got hammered! We came up against a good batting and bowling side in Boyne Hill, who proved too strong for us on the day. They raced away early on, and it looked like a 160-170 was on the cards but good bowling from Ollie Chatwin (4-1-26-1) and Robert Clarke (2-0-8-1), and a superb spell from James Denton (4-1-14-4) kept them to 141-8. Still a big score for us to chase and we were minus two profilic scorers this season in Rob Haggis and Connor Wheeler. We needed to get a good start and didn't, due in the main to some very good bowling from Boyne Hill. The only resistance came from the skipper Robert Clarke (22) and Oliver Chatwin (13 not out), as we crumbled to 71 all out. A disappointing end to what has been a fantastic season. League champions proves the boys have played really well this year and deserve a lot of praise for their efforts and achievements, and it has been a real pleasure working with them again and seeing them improve. Looking forward to next season already!!
