Purley on Thames CC Saturday 1st XI v Cove 3 on Sat 14 May 2011 at 1300
Match was Drawn

Match report Cove 3's were the visitors to the Goosecroft for the Saturday 1st XI. Skipper Patrick Allen won the toss and elected to bat on a excellent looking track. The runs flowed from the outset and a big score was always on the cards. The innings was built round a quality 110 not out from Paul Reber (his 10th century) and with useful contributions from Patrick, Lemar, Raj, Caleb, Nasher and Alan we declared after 51 overs with a big 284 for 7.
All the Purley bowlers bowled with good purpose but found little help from the track and wickets were difficult to come by throughout. We kept working hard and managed to pick up a few wickets in the middle but never looked like bowling Cove out and in the end they ended on 181 for 6.
Good performance from everyone and a encouraging start to the season, lets keep it going!!!
