Scorecard

Purley on Thames CC Under 11s v East Woodhay on Sun 10 Jul 2011 at 10am
Purley on Thames CC Won By 61 Runs

Match report Last league match of the season and a chance to give other squad players a chance and it shows what strength we have in depth. Batting first against some good bowling we scored 131 for 2 with Sophie Castle 25 retired, Archie Danbury 28 Retired and James Rogers an excellent 21 was bowled with the best ball of the day. We then took the field and as ever Captain Archie Danbury set a fantastic field that was difficult to penetrate and when combined with good line and length bowling from all there was never a chance for the opposition to score the runs. Bowler of the day was Michael Turner with 3 over 1 maiden 2 wickets for 2 runs which proved how important line and length are over speed. Well done to all and the coaches just want to say how proud we are of you all for your hard work and good sportmanship this season, finishing the season unbeaten and now on to the quarter finals !
