Match report Purley 2nds gave a much better team performance after losing the toss again and being put into bat against Windsor 3rds.A solid opening partnership of 71 between Gautham Kamath(44) and Peter Rackley(33)got Purley of to a good start,before another mini Purley collapse occured with Rackley 4th man out on 102.This just brought together youngster Robbie Jeffery and the lively Steve Purser who put on a brillant unbroken stand of 135 runs to leave Purley 237 for 4 from their 52 overs,Jeffery finishing 82 n/o and Steve Purser 40 n/o.After a shaky start the Purley bowling attack gave a much improved performance with Jordan Seward returning to form with 2 wickets,Robbie another 2, George Clarke(3) as Windsor finished on 198 for 9 in their 48 overs.Purley were unable to take that final wicket to seal the victory in an entertaining game,with credit to Windsor who didn't just settle for the draw.Overall a much better display from a young Purley 2nds side who look forward to the long trip to Chesham next Saturday.
