Match report A tremendous win by the boys today in a great match that swung to and fro throughout the afternoon. They won the toss and put us in. We were quickly 19-3 and struggling. However a great 5th wicket partnership of 65 between Pat (44) and young Robert Clarke (47) steadied the ship. We then had an 8th wicket partnership of 87 between Callum (27) and Mridul (50no) that took us to 230-9 off 45. A good target but Crown Wood chased down 245 last week so we knew we had a game on our hands. Good early bowling from Harry (3-38) and Nufail (3-40) had them 24-4 before a 5th wicket partnership of 107 put them back in the game. After removing their 2 half-centurions we thought we had the game again but their number 8 came in and started to hit some good sixes in his 49no. In the 42nd over they needed 10 but Pahi bowled their number 11, and we'd won the game by 10 runs and completed another maximum 35 point haul. It was a very good team performance, but not good for the skipper's heart!
