Match report Overall a reasonable first League performance. we lost the toss and Thatcham put us in. After the early loss of Andrew Clarke with the score on 9, Connor Farmery (30) and Robbie Jeffery combined to take us to 55 in 11 overs before Connor was bowled. Robbie and Ashley Hillier then piled on the runs by adding a further 46 runs in 5 overs before Robbie was bowled for an excellent 38 with the total at 101.

In the search for quick runs Michael Tucker and Harry Bell fell cheaply to leave us on 122 for 5 - Ashley 34 not out and Matt Strange 1 not out. Not a bad score.

In reply Thatcham were restricted by a great opening spell from Robbie and Harry - after 5 overs Robbie had accounted for both openers as the pressure mounted, they had a meagre total of 7. Thatcham managed to get to 37 for 3 off 10 overs and this was the pattern for the rest of the game. Sam Woodhouse, Connor Farmery and Ashley (3) all chipped in with wickets as Thatcham struggled to 106 for 7 off 20 overs.

A well deserved win to Purley.
