Match report The Potters first league game of the season was a home game versus Henley 3's. Unsurprisingly the weather for the first game was not nice, blustery winds and threats of rain.
Henley 3's won the toss and elected to bat first. The Potters bowled well with good pressure being applied by all of the bowlers. Henley 3's managed 193 for 5 from their 52 overs, a good effort as the wicket did not offer alot for the bowlers. Only problem was the catches that we dropped which included 3 regulation chances.
After an excellent tea the Potters openers set out on reaching the target. It all started well with Patrick and Amit both reaching 50's before falling soon after. After a mini wobble the Potters were led home by sensible innings from Reber (37 not out) and Robbie (30 not out).
An excellent 6 wicket win, just need to shake off some of the rustiness from our performance and improve on the catching!
