Match report On a day of contrasting weather to the corresponding fixture in 2012, the Potters made the journey to Chiswick & Latymer and found the ground sunsoaked. Purley won the toss and elected to bat and that decision seemed vindicated as Dave Lincoln and Pete Rackley set about the C & L bowling as they quickly added 82 off 21 overs before Dave was LBW for 35, Pete quickly followed bowled for 41 and we were 90 for 2. Gautham Kamath and George Wheeler rebuilt the innings until Gautham was bowled for 22, a flurry of wickets followed the departure of George Wheeler who had made 36 as Steve Purser (10), Gavin Raw (1) and George Clarke (0) meant we had collapsed to 173 for 8 but Andrew Bailey and Barry Carter saw them past the magical 200 mark to gain 10 points and they both remained unbeaten on 22 and 13 respectively. After a cracking tea, C & L set about the task well but despite losing Chibbar who was bowled for 10 by Dave Lincoln the they continued to collect runs smoothly. George Wheeler picked up two wickets in two overs to give us hope but M.Malik saw Chiswick & Latymer home when he hit 26 runs off of one over to clinch a five wicket victory.
