Match report The Potters travelled to Falkland for their latest TVL clash. The weather was constantly changing and with the risk of showers the Potters skipper chose to bowl first.
The track was very good and the Falkland openers started confidentily. 2 wickets in 2 balls from Claeb saw the Potters gain control of the game. The introduction of spin from both ends brought 2 futher wickets and also slowed the run rate further. Falklands overseas star Kolugala batted excellently for 94, he helped up the tempo of the Falkland innings. In the end Falkland reached 203 for 8 from their 52 overs. The returning Caleb Maycock was the pick of the Potters bowlers with 4 wickets.
The Potters reply started badly with both openers dismissed. The Potters were 8 for 2 before Robbie and the skipper steadied the ship. 2 further wickets brought Reebs and Rahu to the wicket and Rahu continued from his last innings at Eversley. He blazed his way to 81 which helped the Potters establish the upper hand. Reebs was controlled at the other end. He returned to form with an unbeaten 50 as the Potters reached the target with 5 wickets remaining in the 46th over.
A good win and great to get the first win of the season. Same again next week!!!
