Match report Wokingham 2's visited the Goosecroft for this weeks TVL fixture. Wokingham won the toss and chose to bat first. After a 50+ opening stand the Potters bowlers responded excellently. Caleb picked up 4 wickets and Reber 5 wickets. Wokingham were all out for 136 in 39.2 overs.
The Potters battend an hour before tea and reached 38 before George Clarke was out for 21. Everything was going well until the Purley middle collapse arrived again, numbers 5, 6 and 7 all went for 0 runs. Rebers held firm and made an excellent 41 until he was cut offf with a poor LBW decision. In the end the Potters ended 12 runs short, bowled out for 124.
Poor, poor, poor batting. It wasn't the easiest of wickets but some of the shot selection for the wickets was awful. We are really up against it now and it's fair to say we deserve to be relegated if we can't win games like that. We've dropped 37 points against Wokingham, unable to chase sub 140 scores - disgraceful!
