Match report The Under 11's started their campaign at home against Hungerford in a much anticipated rearranged fixture. New skipper Joe Durcan lost the toss and was ask to bat. Joe Durcan (8) opened the batting with James Leach (9) and both batted well to give a sound foundation for the middle order to build on. Unfortunately due to good bowling and excellent fielding from the visitors and some 'interesting' running the Potters limped to 54 all out from 19.2 overs.
After the break the Potters set about their task of defending their small total. The skipper again led from the front with a cracking spell of 2 for 10 off of his 3 overs, economical bowling from Joe Booker and Owen Raw coupled with some brilliant fielding (Great catch Tyler Stace) restricted Hungerford to 22 for 5. James Leach then came into the attack and bowled an excellent length to claim 2 for 5 from his 3 overs. A 4th run out saw the back of the dangerous Liddiard and it looked like the game was swinging in our favour but the Hungerford tail saw them over the line.

It was a thoroughly enthralling and entertaining game that was played in an excellent spirit and all the boys contributed to the overall team performance. There are lots of things to work on in training (calling, shot selection and cutting down on the wides) but there was also much to be proud of. Well done fellas - onwards and upwards. Remember 'We win as a team and we lose as a team'
