Match report Another very poor batting display let us down today. The skipper lost the toss for the third time in a row, and they chose to bat on a lovely warm day. We started superbly and had them 6-2. Vikram (3-29) and Junees (2-22) bowled a nice opening spell, and Nufail (2-28) and Rob Holman (2-22) bowled 10 overs each that put pressure on the batsmen. We also took our catches and the run out was a superb direct hit by 16 year old James Denton from point. We had them 92-8, but a 9th wicket partnership of 42 runs helped them reach 134 all out in the 39th over. This was still a very "gettable" score even on a very uneven bounced pitch. However, we played some poor shots at the top of the order, and left ourselves 26-6, with none of the top 6 reaching double figures. It took Pat Daniels (10), Junees (16) and a very good knock of 19 from 16 year old James Mugford to show any resistance. We were eventually bowled out for 87, losing by a very disappointing 47 runs.
