Match report A much better display from the team today, although not enough runs on the board meant another defeat. The skipper lost the toss again, and unsurprisingly was asked to bat. Most of the batsmen got in, with 8 getting into double figures, and the two 16 year olds James Denton (17) and James Mugford (16) top-scoring. Some good batting from newcomers Junees, Arshad and Rifas helped us to bat for our full 45 overs, reaching 141. An opening partnership of 76 laid the platform for Woodley's reply. Arshad bowled very well (2-19 off 10 overs), and 16 year old Jameel Khan took 2-22 off 6 overs, and also threw a brilliant direct hit run-out. We gave away a few too many extras but the effort and commitment was very good, and they only passed our target in the 40th over.
