Match report Once again the 3rds skipper had to rush around on a Saturday morning trying to find 11 players due to players dropping out at the last minute. We only had 10 players so Sam's Dad Sean kindly offered to play for us as he was there watching. The skipper won the toss and elected to bat. We were very quickly reduced to 35-5, with Nufail hitting 24 of them, and thoughts of a very early finish were in our heads. However, the middle and bottom of the order rallied and a good partnership between Kirwin (25) and young Sam Poulter (13) steadied the ship. Once they departed Ramzee (16) and Rifas (a very good 47no) and 13 year old Sam Jugg (6no) took us to a respectable 155-8 off our 45 overs. However, this proved to be at least 50 runs short, as the Knowl Hill batsmen were never really under pressure in the chase. We bowled and fielded OK, but could only manage to take 3 wickets. Another disappointing day for us.
