Match report 3s chalked up their 11th win of season with an excellent victory against 3rd placed Mortimer.
Toss win, bowl first - it works, why change it, what can go wrong - well an early onslaught by the Mortimer openers gave us food for thought 10 overs in.
However, a break through by the skipper and the introduction of Hardy and Leach turned the game - Ben with 5-fer, Richard with 2, ably supported by decent catching (Nick 3, Dave 2). Jude mopped up the tail and Mortimer were all out 140.
Bring on Louis Harris (79*), this week in partnership with Ben (40) they posted 90 for first wicket. Joe Durcan then hit a quick fire 18 winning the game with a six over square leg.
