Many thanks to all those who ventured out on a cold night to participate in the Purley on Thames Cricket Club Annual Quiz Night on Friday evening, 8th February.
The event was held in the Sports & Social Club and was attended by 130 people, our highest attendance ever. The quiz was well researched and organised by Charlotte Bishop, and enjoyed by all, as were the fish & chips (brought to us from The Lemon Plaice, Norcot Road). Thanks to Chris Allen for selling raffle tickets on the night, and to those who donated raffle prizes.
The event raised a profit of £750 for Cricket club funds, and was a highly successful event at the start of the 2013 season.
Looking forward to warmer days and a successful cricket season ahead.
Just a reminder too that :
Adult Indoor nets 2013 will be held at Bradfield College on four Mondays
(dates of Monday 25th February, Monday 4th March, Monday 11th March, Monday 18th March -2 nets from 8.15 - 10.15 pm)
and 2 Wednesdays
(dates of Wednesday 27th March and Wednesday 3rd April - 2 nets from 8.15 - 10.15 pm).
Sessions will cost £5 each.
