Purley on Thames CC

Purley on Thames CC - Girls

Girls Cricket
Girls' cricket

Girls' cricket at Purley on Thames was launched in April 2018, and has gone from strength to strength. We now have over 60 girls and women playing for Purley on Thames CC from 7 years old through to our women's soft ball cricket team and our Walking Cricket team

New members are welcome.

Girls between Year 3 and Year 10 are welcome to join our sessions: no previous experience or equipment needed - just a willingness to get involved and have fun. We want to give more girls the opportunity to play cricket and experience the fun and friendship that comes with it.

How to book membership - for members

As last year, we are operating an online booking and bank transfer payment system to minimise the time volunteers spend on admin. Please follow these steps carefully to help the process run smoothly:

1. Login to the Purley website from the homepage (top right of webpage - you can reset your password from here if you need to).

2. Check you’re logged in as the correct child - the profile name is shown at the top right of the webpage. You MUST be in their profile before the next step.

3. Go to the Girls cricket webpage.

4. The form will show on the page (it will only show if you’re logged in to the website, so you must do steps 1-3 first).

5. Complete the form and submit.

If you are submitting forms for more than one child

Complete 1-5 as above for the first child. Then

6. Go back to the homepage on the website and switch to the other child’s profile. To do this you may need to either:

Log out of child #1’s profile and log in with child #2’s profile (different username)
OR

Switch to child #2’s profile from the drop-down list at the top right of the website.

You must switch profiles
BEFORE the next step.

7. Go to the Girls ' cricket webpage to complete the form again (if child #1’s details are visible, STOP and log out and log in again).

8. Complete the form with child #2’s details and submit.

PLEASE DO NOT overwrite child #1’s details in the form, as you will overwrite their entry in the database. Follow step 6 to change profiles. Please contact fsalvage@gmail.com if you’re having problems.

Confirmation and payment

To ensure safe coaching ratios, we will collect submitted booking forms and then contact you to confirm your child has a place and provide you with payment details. This is not an automated process, so please be patient!

Enjoyment and fun
The continued growth of our club is a reflection of the enjoyment and fun girls have playing for Purley on Thames. We support girls who want to play for fun, through to those who want to progress to County level in a friendly, enthusiastic and warm atmosphere. We encourage all our girls to set their own goals to achieve their individual successes, in doing this, each training session is encouraging, positive and rewarding. We are fervent believers in the ethos of #thisgirlcan.

We have a great team spirit at Purley on Thames and believe girls that benefit from time together on and off the field, so we enjoy team-building activities and trips to matches to be inspired by the professional women's cricket teams.
