Safeguarding and ClubMark
Purley on Thames CC has received ECB/Sport England ClubMark accreditation, and was only the second club in Berkshire to receive this accreditation.
This scheme is a national programme that recognises good practise in a number of areas such as Safeguarding. A club that has been awarded ClubMark has high standards of child protection and safety, quality coaching, equal opportunities and good management. This accreditation is fully integrated with the Club's child protection policy.
This sends a positive message to the local community, schools, community groups, local authorities and other local funding agencies about the quality and safety of the Club's junior section.
The Club has appointed Helen Hill as the Club Safeguarding Officer. She is the first point of contact for anyone at Club level who has a concern about Child Welfare and Protection, and can be contacted using the 'contact us' section of the website.
