Purley on Thames Eagles - women's soft ball cricket
Women and girls aged 14 and over can now train and play with the Purley on Thames women’s and girls’ soft ball cricket team - Purley on Thames Eagles.
We welcome new players. No experience or equipment is necessary.
Purley Eagles will take part in the Berkshire Women’s Soft Ball Cricket Division 3 in summer 2024.

Training
Beginners are welcome. Training is led by a professional coach.
Outdoor training (Summer - from 19 April)
Friday nights, 6.30 to 8.00pm

Kit
Members selected to play in matches will receive a playing shirt and cap courtesy of our sponsor to wear during the season. You’ll need to supply your own navy leggings/ shorts/ cricket trousers to play matches in.
No special kit is required for training nights, just your own trainers and exercise clothes.
We supply the bats, balls and other equipment.
Thank you to Purley Parish Council for its grant in 2023 for us to purchase a Women’s Soft Ball kit, which provides us with bats, stumps, balls and markers.
Membership
Membership for the 2024 season is £60 and this covers summer training with a professional coach and ensures you are covered by the club’s insurance as well as contributing to the running of the club and the ground maintenance.
Match fees for league matches/festivals are £5 per player. Indoor league match fees are £6.
