Team Selection Policy and Availability
SELECTION POLICY (Saturday cricket)
1. Sides are selected by the three team captains in consultation with the Selection Manager and Junior coaches as necessary
2. The 1st XI is selected first, then the 2nd XI and then the 3rd XI
3. Selection will be based principally on ability, form and performances as well as the balance of the side
4. Other criteria that may be taken into account include development of young players, attendance at training, attitude and conduct, reliability, and non-payment of match fees or subscriptions
5. All players must play for the side they are selected for in any given week. Any player ‘refusing’ to play in a particular XI will be deemed to be not available for all teams.
6. Confirmed sides will be posted on the club website
7. On very rare occasions a player may need to withdraw from a team after being selected. The player should consider the effect this has not only on the team they were selected for but also the other teams in the club. The later this withdrawal is made the more inconvenient it is for the club
8. Any player who does withdraw after selection should be aware that they may be putting their place in the team in jeopardy for the following weeks

We want to make full use of the functions of this website. If we can do so it will make life much easier for the people who do a lot for the Club and release their time to help in other ways - or even entitle them to relax with a beer instead!

Tell Us About Your Availability:
Option 1
Please log on to this website and enter your availability (the link is at the top when you log on) for the relevant matches - right up to the end of the season if you wish. We're not suggesting that you necessarily know about every date but give us the best information you can - you can always update it later if circumstances change.
Because some people forget their passwords you can get a reminder by requesting one by email (from the link just under the logon box). If you can't remember your logon you will need to request it from one of the admins - Please use the contacts link or text one of the captains.
Option 2
You can be added to the Sat/Sun availability Whatsapp group chat. A message will come out every Sunday night during the season. Please respond with your availability for the weekend ahead when asked.
Reply Promptly When You Get the Selection Message
You will receive an email informing you of selection for a team. Please respond by clicking on the appropriate link within the email.
Keep Your Details Updated
Make sure that we have an up-to-date email address and mobile number for you.
Additionally please make sure that you let us know about any changes email or phone number. This information is vital for sending out information and preparing the fixture card etc.
