Come and join us and help make Purley on Thames Cricket Club even better.
Purley on Thames Cricket Club is growing! And we need more helpers to support the ‘behind-the-scenes’ work for the club. To apply for these roles, please complete the volunteer recruitment Google Form.
Positions vacant:
Communications Officer
Junior Membership Secretary/Officer
Events and Fundraising Officer
We’re looking for volunteers for three key roles that will allow the club:
-
to share what’s new and keep members informed
-
to ensure that the membership database is up-to-date and that key activities such as junior indoor nets and membership renewal all take place smoothly
-
to run social and fundraising events on a regular and profitable basis.
If you’ve got a couple of hours free over the month (busy times might be a bit more than this), are IT literate and a good communicator, then we want to hear from you.
The Communications Officer will share news and updates from the club via email and social media, as well as looking for opportunities to spread the news wider when appropriate.
The Junior Membership Secretary/Officer will either be supporting the current Junior Membership Secretary or taking the role on fully. The current volunteer does this role alongside another role within the club and the increasing popularity of junior and girls’ cricket means they need some extra help!
The Events and Fundraising Officer will set up and chair the new Events and Social Committee, which will have membership from all aspects of the club. They will sit on the main club committee and be the liaison between the social committee and the club committee. The club is looking to create a social and fun atmosphere that crosses between the teams and events should be inclusive. The club is also looking to raise funds to support the second ground. The social events the committee organises need to balance the social aspect with a healthy fundraising profit.
Purley on Thames Cricket Club has Clubmark status and follows the ECB Safer Recruitment Guidelines. To apply for these roles, please complete the volunteer recruitment Google Form and we will be in touch to arrange an informal interview (conversation). Please note we will require successful DBS checks for the volunteers taking up the roles.
