Saturday 3rd XI - Champions of Berkshire League Division Four

The Saturday 3rd XI clinched the division four championship in dramatic style at Ibis on Saturday. Acting skipper, Kevin Denton bowled the last over with Bradfield 2s on 166 for 9 with us needing to take one wicket to get the necessary 35 points to take the championship. The first five balls were successfully negotiated but with the last ball of the match, Kevin got a ball through the defences and bowled the Bradfield number 11, John Bargeant to scenes of Purley on Thames celebrations. CONGRATULATIONS to Captain, Adam Mugford and all those who have played during a very successful season... Watch out division three here we come...
