Match report Well, another excellent win for Purley on Thames, After Connor was put into bat by his Berkshire team mate Adam Barnes we suffered an early loss of Tom but Callum Pearse 25 no and Connor Wheeler 25 no steadied the ship and we progressed to 126 for 2 off 20 overs, a little bit lower than we normally aim for but there was some very good bowling by West Ilsley. We mixed the bowling order up to give everyone a chance and some of our senior players struggled with their lines and lengths, however Callum Pearse, Connor Wheeler, Ryan and Arjun Mather were typically economical and brought the game back to us and with Charlie Wheeler as our twelth man for the day (playing for an ill James Symons) bowling 2 overs 1 maiden 6 runs for 2 wickets. This game was our toughest yet and a clear example of why we should not charge into bowl but try and bowl our consistent lines and lengths - well done Purley and on to Sunday for the next match
