Match report Another excellent performance from the under 11's, Callum Pearse won the toss and decided to bat on a decidedly slanty wicket. Tom Chapman was unlucky with a good ball which brought Connor Wheeler in the third over and then retired on 25 in the seventh over with his second six in sucessive games. Batting was steady and we never fell behind the run rates we set ourselves and excellent batting for Archie Danbury 25 no and Captain Callum Pearse 25 no secured a total of 137 for 2. Special mention to Harry Russell for his attitude when batting, talking to his batting partner about what run rate he wanted and converting singles into twos and for Archie for an amazing sweep shot that went like a rocket to the boundary. Bowling was typically good and few wides were given, opening bowler Ryan Palihawadona started brilliantly and some fast balls from a controlled run up led his to figures of 2 overs 4 runs for 1 wicket. Hungerford got to 64 for 4 in the 9th over when Connor Wheeler came in to bowl to Bowl Hungerfords top scorer with his first ball, one more run was scored off the bat in the next nine overs with Hungerford finishing on 68 all out. Worth mentioning a few bowlers, Ben fowler with his first league wicket, Archie Danbury for an excellent two over spell of spin that hit the right length consistently and James Rogers for his excellent action and contol in his two overs. Bowlers of the day were Connor Wheeler 2(overs)-2(maidens)-0(runs)-2(wickets) James Rogers 2-2-0-2 and Archie Danbury 2-2-0-1. Everyone contributed today to an another excellent performance and the 100% record continues - Come on Purley
