Match report What a match !!!!! Our first defeat of the season but a cracking game. We lost the toss and were made to field first and we bowled and feilded brilliantly, every one bowling well with James Rogers, Matt Kilford and Connor Wheeler the pick of the bowlers by all taking two wickets. Kidmore End only scored 104 of 20 overs but we lost our opener early Tom Chapman being unlucky to get a thin edge on a fast ball, Woody and Archie went for a second run and Woody got run out and then Archie unusally hit a ball in the air and got caught by mid off. 28 for 3 is not our normal start but Connor came out and was joined in partnerships with Ollie Honeyman and Harry Russell, Connor batted superbly and retired on 25 leaving 30 to win off the last 7 overs. Matt Kilford and James Rogers batted really well and we finished on 103, 1 run short !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We lost this game at the start of the innings and this is something we can rectify and learn from and now after working out the points we have still become league champions and go through to the quarter finals !!!!!!!!!!!! Well done Purley for all your hard work this year.
