Match report After our first league defeat on Friday, it was good to have another game 3 days later where we could get back on the winning track. It was a good solid batting performance again, with Connor Wheeler (30no), Rob Goodwin (9), and Robert Haggis (32no) seeing off the opening bowlers. We only had 37 off the first 10 overs but with only the loss of 1 wicket it gave us the platform to kick on and get a good 130-5, with Robert Clarke weighing in with 28. A similar score to Friday gave us a chance to defend it correctly this time, and with good field placings and much better line and length bowling we bowled them out for 81 in 17.5 overs. George Clarke (4-20), Connor Wheeler (2-12) and Jack Ellison (2-17) were ably supported in the field, with Mark Russell taking a stumping and two run-outs in a good keeping performance.
