Match report CHAMPIONS!!!!!!! An excellent performance gave us the win we needed to come top of the league and progress to the quarter finals. Rob Clarke lost the toss and Theale decided to bat. Some good early bowling from Thomas Axson kept the runs down. However, the wickets started to tumble from some great bowling from Rob Goodwin (2-0-9-2), James Denton (2-1-1-3) and Adam Khan (1.4-0-4-3), and we skittled them out for 67 in 14.4 overs. A good fielding performance backed up the bowlers, with a smart run out and stumping from Mark Russell behind the stumps. We lost a wicket in the first over, but Max Baker-Smith (17) and Robert Haggis (31no retired) steered us easily towards the target. James Mugford (4no) finished the game off with a boundary in the 10th over. A brilliant season in the league, and the boys can now look forward to the quarter finals full of confidence. Well done boys!!
