Match report Purley batted first against a strong Wokingham bowling attack and were soon in trouble with both Kieran Barrett and Ashley Hillier being caught in the first 5 hostile overs. However Andrew Clarke and Robbie Jeffery first steadied the Purley "ship" before going on to score at the rate required to post a handy score. Andrew retired not out at 50 but Robbie continued the good work first with Nick Dyer and then Mehdi Harees to post a more than useful 136 for 3 from 20 overs.

In reply, Wokingham also struggled against a hostile opening bowling attack - Jordan Seward bowled 4 overs straight off for 7 runs, ably supported by Robbie Jeffery. Wokingham struggled to collect any runs and at the end of the 10th over had totalled 30 for 2 as Purley's bowling and fielding notched up the pressure! Tom Russell's spell of 4 wickets for 7 runs took full advantage of the pressure as he kept the ball straight,fast and full to rip the heart out of Wokingham's effort.

Good catches by Nick Dyer, Sam Woodhouse and a surprised Kieran Barrett as well as good ground fielding supported the bowlers well.

A great result - booking a place in the County Finals day on the 27th June.
