Match report A brilliant all-round team performance earned Purley 2nds their second win on the trot and 3rd this season, all chasing.Kidmore End choose to bat first and were bowled out in the 52nd over for 226.A fine bowling display on the Purley road, backed up by some excellent fielding and catching. Andrew Bailey,Cyril Cox and Robbie Jeffery all taking 3 wickets,with Robbie bowling two fine spells,Kevin Denton took the prize wicket of the Kidmore captain.

When skipper Pete Rackley was 3rd man out with the score at 47 Purley were probably not thinking of victory, but you'd be wrong. An outstanding 4th wicket partnership of 132 between youngsters Jamie Elliot(59) and Jack Purser(67n/o) took Purley towards victory, both scoring their maiden half centuries in TVL cricket. After Elliot and Raw had departed it was left to Steve Purser 23n/o to help Jack take Purley over the winning line, a proud moment watching the two young lads bat.
