Match report The toss proved important after the heavy over night rain seeped under the covers leaving some damp areas.Purley inserted Bagshot and then ripped into
their batting line up.A magnificent bowling display from Alex Clough,steaming in from the Pangbourne end for 17 overs,taking 8 wickets for 34 runs proved to be the catalyst for a Purley victory.Superbly backed up by Andrew Bailey(2 wickets) and Dave Lincoln returning from another year at universty with veteran
spinner Cyril Cox taking a back seat for once as pace took over.After tea Purley
confidently started in pursuit of their victory target losing only Kevin Denton
for 14 on the way.Skipper Peter Rackley remained unbeaten on 45 and wicketkeeper Chris Rackley 29 n/o to back up an excelent display of keeping earlier taking 4 catchies of Clough's bowling.Around another fine performance from the 2nds who made the best of the conditions and continue their climb up the table.
