Match report Purley 2nds somehow managed to slipped to defeat after scoring 276 all out after being asked to bat first by Sonning 2.Purley started well with 50 run opening partnership between Pete Rackley (28) and Kevin Denton (23),but when they both departed and Steve Purser left a straight one,Purley were in a spot of bother.But youngster Jack Purser (29),showing his dad the way, joining Gavin Raw to put together a 74 run partnership for the 4th wicket.Gav contiuned to bat superbly to score 90 with valuable support from Dave Linclon(15),Alistar Baxter (18) and a fine (27 n/o) from Andrew Bailey as Purley were bowled out in the last over.Purley's bowling attack did not have much luck as they tried to break the stubborn opening partnership of Sonning on a now dead pitch.Despite Purley's best efforts a brillant 137 from A Wright proved to be the deciding factor as Purley slipped to defeat in the 47th over.
