Match report Purley 2nd slipped to another disappointing away defeat at 2nd place Burnham 3rd's.After winning the toss and inserting Burnham on a damp track,Purley got of to a great start with some fine bowling from Dave Linclon and youngster Jordan Seward and reduced Burnham to 24 for 4.But that was as good as it got with Burnham declaring on 282 for 6 with Tommy Bryant leading the recovery with a excelent century.Dave finished with 4 for 22,jordan 1 wicket and Vikram Kamath picked up a late wicket,but Purley did not back up the opening spell and bowled to short at times.In reply against Burnham's spin attack Purley lost Raj
Senniappen early on before Peter and Chris Rackley put on 46 for the 2nd wicket.But an embarrassing Purley collapse insued with Purley going from 58 for 1
to 63 for 6 and eventually being bowled out for 87.Only Peter Rackley(27),Chris
Rackley(23) and Steve Purser (17) reached double figures in a poor batting display.The 2nds face a massive home game against bottom team Princes Risborough
next Saturday as they fight to stay clear of the relegation places.
