Match report The match was played at Yattendon and the toss was always going to be crucial, unfortunately it came down for a Welford Park win. The captain elected to field and inside the first 10 overs we had been reduced to 33 for 5, Khan Azad was the top scorer on 11. It took only 12 more overs to skittle Purley out for 76 despite a patient 9 from captain Steve Dyer. Welford Park had to go out for 10 overs before tea and we made a series of breakthroughs to reduce Welford Park to 27 for 3. After tea Welford made light work of the remaining 50 runs and won comfortably without the loss of further wickets. A disappointing result on a tricky pitch...oh well bring on Twyford!
