Match report At last some nice weather! Unfortunately the Badgers came up against a very good Kidmore End side today who had fast bowlers and good batsmen, although I feel the result flattered our opponents somewhat as they picked up lots of runs in the last couple of overs when I think some of the boys heads had dropped a little. I certainly don't think they should feel downhearted.

Batting first we picked up lots of good singles and the running between the wickets was generally very good but unfortunately we gave away too many wickets which meant we were restricted to 215. I think we all learnt a lot today and we will be looking to work on our defensive shot in the coming weeks.

The bowling was a lot better than the scoreline suggests, we only gave away a handful of extras, which was a huge improvement on the first game a few weeks ago, so real signs of progress there. Unfortunately Kidmore End had some accomplished batsmen and a very short boundary meant that line and length bowling was punished. Fielding was generally okay with only a few lapses in concentration.

The boys all know what areas they need to work on and as they continue to improve we will have a very good side.
