Match report In damp conditions the Kites kicked off their home fixtures with a comfortable win. Captain Isaac Danbury lost the toss and the opposing captain decided to bowl first. Thanks to some good cricket shots and excellent running between the wickets we posted a competitive total of 268 with boundaries coming from Raymond, Danbury and Rushton. It was a total that was to prove too much for our opponents.

Tight bowling throughout meant that Sulhamstead were always behind the run rate and with wickets for Austyn Jackson (clean bowled) and Joe Kennedy (courtesy of a great catch from Mackenzie Raymond) plus some great run outs we ended up victorious. And although the fielding at times was below what we've come to expect at others it was very impressive with 3 great run outs.

All in all a decent performance in challenging conditions but certainly a performance that can be improved on in the coming weeks.
