Match report (a second win on the bounce for the midweek team )

Purley midweek team beat Microsoft at home by 14 runs.

The captain won the toss and elected to bat, and sent in the comeback king Alan Schofield with young Andrew Clarke and although Andrew 23, Ramash a neat 20 and Rob Holman knocking a quick 12 it was Big Al who stole the show with a master class 82 not out looking simply sensational.

So in went Microsoft and a rapid 40 from 3 overs showed they were not there to make up the numbers and when this moved to 72 off 7 for only 2 wickets which included a wicket for young Thomas Axson in his debut adult career helped with a catch from the SKIP

There seemed to be worrying times ahead but after a small chat with Paul Reber the skipper bought on patrick allen who tuned in a superb hatrick ending up with figures of 4 for 15 from 3 overs which clinched another win .

It was a really nice evening and was great to see the young lads out there giving it there all which is so good to see, win or lose midweek for me is all about a bit of fun its 15 overs dosnt take to long so come on men ( where are you-lets be avin you )
