Match report At last, in glorious sunshine the Badgers got their first victory and what a well deserved, yet over due, victory it was.

Batting first the badgers put on 91 runs thanks mainly to a great knock from the returning Jude Beebee batting at 9, but all contributed if not with big scores certainly through running byes and leg byes. The running between the wickets had its low points too with a couple of needless run outs, but 91 was to prove a good total and one that Hurley didn't get anywhere near chasing down.

The bowling and fielding was superb throughout and special mention goes to Arthur Ainley for his superb bowling spell taking 4 wickets but all the boys contributed especially in the field where the throwing in was sensational creating 3 run outs.

One point to note is how the boys have completely reduced the extras over the course of the season. At the beginning wides, byes and no balls really had been the difference between victory and defeat but in the last couple of games the extras have almost completely dried up putting pressure on opposing teams to score runs.

A great victory and one that can still be improved on. The boys know they need to work on the batting and hopefully in the final two matches they can break the 100 barrier.
