Match report Another great result for Purley Kites, temprary Captain Charlie Wheeler won the toss and decided to bowl on a wet wicket with a view to restricting the run rate and with some excellent field placements and great bowling Thatcham struggled to get going and only made 48 off their 20 overs. Star bowlers were Charlie Wheeler 3 overs 1 Wicket for 1 run, Josh Castle with 2 overs 2 maidens and Jamie Close, Jordan Murray Robertson and James Rogers all picking up a wicket. Key learn from today is that line and length bowling is the key to restricting teams as Charlie and Josh proved. Batting was straight forward with some excellent quick singles to a field that was set too far back and Woody Chapman hit 25 not out with new opener Arjun Mather 19 not out.
