Match report
1st game of the season and a cup match against a strong Slough side. They won the toss and chose to bat. We bowled and fielded really well, and started superbly with a wicket in each of Adam and Tom's first overs reducing them to 7-2. However, the next two batsmen batted really well and both retired with 33 and 31 not out. A few new boys played for us, and did really well. Slough reached 124-3 after 20 overs. We thought it was a "gettable" target on our pitch, but none of our batsmen got going. Matt Kilford played well for his 15, but the only others in double figures were James Mugford (10) and Jack Taylor (10). We lost wickets regularly and were bowled out for 85 at the end of the 18th over. Hopefully, we can improve on this performance for our first league game on Friday against Reading Lions.
