Purley on Thames CC

Scorecard

Henley (Quarter Final) v Purley on Thames CC Under 11s on Fri 12 Aug 2011 at 6pm
Purley on Thames CC Lost By 29 Runs

Match report Well, in a match that should have been played against a different side it was not our best performance this year. We bowled like demons and restricted a good side that was used to scoring close to 200 to a mere 94 all out ! Superb bowling by James Rogers, Arjun Mather, Josh Castle, Michael Turner and a wicket for Ollie Honeyman at the end. Unfortunately in failing light we got off to the worse start possible with Woody running himself out with a little help from Sophie and then some good bowling from Henley until a good partnership by Archie Danbury and Arjun Mather came to an end with another run out (one of 5 on the day) which is not the normal for this excellent team. We lost by 29 runs to the better team on the day, but the Under 11's should be proud of how they have performed this year not losing one match until the quarter final, well done and a great season.
