Match report The Potters travelled to Hillingdon Manors Vine Lane ground on a warm and sunny afternoon. The skipper lost the toss again and Hillingdon chose to bat first on a firm looking track. The Potters started well with Caleb and Nick bowling great areas. Nick took the first wicket and then removed the dangerous looking Huntley for 18 with an lifting delivery which was expertly taken behind the stumps by Village. We continued bowling in good areas making scoring very difficult (the Hillingdon number 4 showed this perfectly - taking 15 overs before registering his first scoring shot). Bobby continued to do what he has always done which is bowl at the stumps - he ended with 19 overs 6 maidens 6 wickets for 54 runs, with 5 of his dismissals being bowled. Hillingdon ended 177 for 8 from their 52 overs.
The Potters reply started well with the skipper and Jimmy picking up quick singles. The skipper fell first after drilling the ball to cover. Jimmy followed soon after for 15. Some excellent batting from Amit pushed the chase along and after he fell for 49 Reber and Village saw us home with Tank scoring 56 and Dan 36 not out.
Another great win for the boys, more of the same next week!
