Match report Another great team performance to record our 3rd maximum 35 pointer in a row. Even with at least two changes each week, everyone is ocntributing, which is fantastic for us as a club. On a damp and sticky wicket I lost the toss (again!!) and no surprise we were put in to bat. It was tricky early on and we lost two early wickets before a 95 partnership between Pahi (68) and Kirwin (28) put us back on track. We then lost 3 wickets for 5 runs before two excellent partnerships. First, Jeff (26) and Gary (52no) put on 58, before Callum (27no) and Gary put on 49 to take us to a good total of 232-6. Callum took his average to 91 this season, and Gary says it was his first bat for two years!! Great performances. We started brilliantly, having their skipper caught by Callum off Harry with the first ball. Wickets continued to tumble, although they were very aggressive with their run chase. They lacked a partner for their opener, and once Nufail took a good catch off Jeff (4-27) to remove him for 73 out of their 108, it was only a matter of time before we picked up the last 3 wickets. We bowled them out for 131, winning by 101 runs. We have started brilliantly and it is a pleasure to captain such a good bunch of lads. Long may it continue.
