Match report A great win to get back on track, especially as there were four U15's and one U17 in the side. The skipper won the toss for a second week running and put them in on a green pitch. 14 year old Max Baker-Smith opened the bowling and was unlucky not to pick up a wicket in his 6 overs. At the other end Nufail bowled 12 overs straight off and finished with 2-44. Jeff (1-40) bowled 11 overs and then Tom Russell took 1-14. Two under 14's took a catch each (Rob Haggis and Max), and Max got a brilliant run out with a direct hit. It was left to Pahi to bowl superbly and finish them off with 3-12 off his 8.3 overs. They finished 127 all out and I was happy with that. Max opened with the skipper and we put on 25 before Max was bowled for 8. Pahi came in and our partnership of 72 made the game safe for us. The skipper was bowled for 38, and then Pahi ended his superb match with 65no. We won the game by 8 wickets. The skipper is now on holiday for the next 3 games so I hope the boys continue our good season.
