Match report Purley on Thames 3s suffered a setback in their quest for promotion as they slipped to an eight wicket defeat to Shinfield. After winning the toss Shinfield elected to field and despite 23 from young James Denton and 14 from Kevin Denton Purley could only muster 72 all out from 29 overs. In reply Shinfield lost two early wickets as George Wheeler bowled Kadauakolu for 11 and then Todi was caught by Nufail off Wheeler for 0 but Dave Aust and Hussain saw Shinfield home. Purley now need to be champions elect Welford Park next week and hope other results go their way to gain promotion.
